COA Publications About Wastewater
Two special publications were printed as part of COA's "Wasting our Waters Away" special project and are possible because of generous support from the Fund for New Jersey and the William Penn Fund.

The Ocean is a Flush Away(683 KB): a citizen's guide to wastewater treatment and ocean discharge in New Jersey. This version is formatted to fit 8.5 x 11" paper, and the COA-printed hard copy is 5.5 x 8.5". Hard copies can be ordered for $5 per copy.
Wasting Our Waters Away (716 KB): a technical report on wastewater discharges into the Atlantic Ocean from New Jersey. Formatted to print double-sided. Hard copies can be ordered for $10 per copy.
“Review and Analysis of State Water Reuse Programs: A Primer for New Jersey” - Clean Ocean Action (COA) researched New Jersey’s and other states’ water reuse programs and created a Position Paper on Beneficial Reuse of Wastewater. COA submitted this paper to NJDEP, along with our recommendations for New Jersey’s water reuse plan.
