Clean Ocean Action

Issues & Campaigns

Since 1984, Clean Ocean Action (COA) has worked and continues to work to stop ocean pollution in the waters off the New Jersey and New York coast. COA makes environmentally sound decisions and draws on robust research to formulate positions and find solutions. COA evaluates federal, state, and local actions, as well as investigates various sources of pollution to protect the health of the marine ecosystem.

The nature of COA's work is ever-evolving and changes to meet the needs of our ocean and legislative initiatives.Old issues continue or resurface, and new issues and sources of pollution arise.

Clean Ocean Action leads informed campaigns against identified sources of pollution and advocates for environmentally sound solutions.
