The Right to Know: A Key to Action

The NJ Work Environment Council (WEC) is hosting a workshop, “Using the Open Public Records Act (OPRA),” on June 22, 2005 from 8:15-11:30am in Trenton, NJ.  OPRA is a valuable tool for labor, community, and environmental organizations, as well as citizens, to access information from state and local government agencies about a broad range of issues.  This workshop will explain your OPRA rights, how to file an OPRA request and appeal an OPRA denial, and other methods to get information.  Advance registration is required.  Registration is $20 for WEC members and $25 for non-members.  To register, contact WEC by calling 609-695-7100.
