Another Successful Summer of C.O.A.S.T.

     COA expresses sincere thanks and appreciation to volunteers and towns who participated in this summer’s COAST campaign.  Throughout July and August, COAST tables were situated at 28 different locations in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  Determined and dedicated volunteers, businesses, beach clubs, and towns raised over $3,300 for COA’s ongoing efforts to stop ocean pollution.  In addition, over 1,300 citizens signed petitions and sent nearly 100 postcards to elected officials in support of the Clean Ocean Zone, a campaign to permanently protect the ocean waters off the NY/NJ Coast.  Working together, citizens, organizations, municipalities, and businesses share information on a much broader scale and take effective action to be the solution to ocean pollution.
