7th Annual Sunset at Sandy Hook, Sept. 16

     COA and event Chair Janine Karoly invite you to our Sunset at Sandy Hook event on Friday, September 16, from 6-10pm at The Sea Gulls’ Nest on Sandy Hook.  Guests will gather to celebrate the protection of our ocean and delight in its tasty bounty.  This widely-anticipated seaside affair will feature specialty dishes from top restaurants and specialty stores, a jammin’ beachy band, unique silent and chance auctions, 50/50 raffle, and beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and Sandy Hook Bay.  To date, delicious specialty dishes and desserts will be provided by Bahrs Landing, Barnacle Bills, Basil T’s Brewery & Italian Grill, Ciao Bella Gelato Co., Ecco Bella, The Lusty Lobster, Panera Bread, Tavolo and Whole Foods.

4th Annual Ocean Golf Classic & Beach Club Challenge

     Come play “fore” the ocean.  Join COA for a day of golf at the beautiful Navesink Country Club in Middletown.  COA’s Ocean Golf Classic is sponsored by the New York Mercantile Exchange Charitable Foundation and chaired by Jeannette and Thomas Yorke of Rumson.  Beach Clubs are encouraged to enter the Beach Club Challenge by organizing a team within your beach club and challenging the undefeated winner, Chapel Beach Club.

     Entry fee per player is $375 and includes luncheon, use of driving range, on-course refreshments, and invitation to cocktail reception with open bar, buffet dinner and awards ceremony.  Format: Best Ball of Foursome.  Prizes for Low Team Gross and Net.  Must have certified handicap for net prize.  Hole in One Prizes include a Porsche Boxster, sponsored by Ray Catena Family of Dealerships, and Sailfish 2005, sponsored by Sandy Hook Yacht Sales and Carriage House Marina.
